The Red Parak Pub and Steakhose, located in Glen NH, just miles from North Cownay NH is hosting live  entertainment this weekend February 12th, 13th & 14th with:  Audio Kickstand will have people lined up at the door on Fri & Sat and Club Soda with their great classic rock on Sunday.  And, as always, Open Mic’ on Monday.  For Feb 19&20, Blue Matter will be rockin’ the house.

Well, I had a blast at the first Red Parka Pub’s Ladies night!  They had mini chair massages, my friends had their hair done.. yes, right there in the Pub, it was great!  Manicures and then we had a fashion show from Jack Frost!  Did I mention that there were Appetizer specials and my cocktail was never empty (thanks to the friendly staff!). 

This week, November 24th, the guests are: Grandma’s Attic with wine glass etching and crafts, The Trager Approach with Jane Biggio, and a fashion show from Langdon’s (I just got the best sweater there.. who would have thought!)  and you can enjoy the famous Red Parka Pub’s Appeitizers for 1/2 price, Raffles and lots more!  Don’t be late, starts at 6:00 p.m.!

Audio KickStand is a collaboration of a few local bands from the northern New Hampshire music scene including Five Day 40, PREFACE, Sounds Clever and more. Having shared the stage together many times and with a desire to continually keep music inspirational, fresh and exciting, these musicians began to collaborate. Bringing many styles, ideas and song lists to the table these boys have developed an extensive set list. The dancing funk of The Meters, Stevie Wonder and James Brown to Reggae and Ska jams including Operation Ivy, Toots and the Maytalls, Slightly Stoopid and Sublime just touches upon the extensive list (see included cover set list). The ideas and talents of the members also provides the perfect fuel to write their own material. Influences ranging from reggae, funk, hip hop, rock, groove, and/ or bluegrass, are the catalyst for tasty originals that are forcing people on their feet and singing right along. Their mission as a band is to bring good times and great music to all, to make people feel at the shows like we are all in this together.
